VENDOR APPLICATION
If you are interested in participating in the Marketplace, you are encouraged to review the guidelines and send in your application as soon as possible.
CUSTOMS & SHIPPING Shipping and handling of all merchandise and/or art work is the sole responsibility of the vendor. The vendor will assume responsibility for clearing customs and complying with laws applicable to neighbor island, U.S. continental and international shipping. In association with HOSW and the Hawaii Convention Center, the International Convention and Event Services (ICES) is the preferred vendor for shipping and handling services.

CULTURAL GUIDELINES Participation in this event is reserved for artisans and practitioners that represent their cultural heritage. The lead applicant must be a native or indigenous person of the culture being represented. The sale or promotion of non authentic artwork is strictly prohibited.

HOSW INDIGENOUS CULTURE & ARTS FESTIVAL
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2010, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Waimea Valley Park
Waimea Valley is located on the North Shore of O'ahu about 37 miles (60 kilometers) or 50 minutes from Waikīkī. Arts & Crafts booths will be situated near the entrance of Waimea Valley Park and in the Pīkake Pavillion, which will also house food booths and entertainment. Each vendor will be allocated a 10’ x 10’ marked space equipped with one 8’ draped table, and two chairs.
Artists/vendors must be set up and ready at their booths by 9:00 AM.

The HOSW Indigenous Arts and Crafts Marketplace will be staged in the Kamehameha III Exhibit Hall, located on the ground floor of the convention center, next to the main lobby. Daily Opening and Closing plenaries will be held adjacent to the Marketplace and the Monday night Powwow will be held in the HOSW Marketplace.

VENDOR BOOTHS Each booth will be 10’ x 10’; equipped with a skirted table (2’ x 6’), two chairs, a waste basket, and a booth sign.
*** End spaces may be available for an additional charge of $100. Includes 6’x2’ skirted table.
MARKET PLACE GUIDELINES
Booths shall not be unattended and must be occupied at all times by the artist or qualified designee.
All tables must be uniformly covered and skirted.
All boxes or containers for supplies and inventory shall be neatly stored and hidden, in compliance with Fire Code.
Tall displays must be arranged at the back of the booth to ensure non-obstruction of neighboring booths.
REQUIRED SIGNATURES AND FORMS:

These forms will be mailed to you upon receipt of your completed application and payment. Your acceptance at the marketplace is contingent upon receiving these forms.
Anyone interested in applying must submit at least two high resolution (300 dpi or greater) photos of his/her artwork with the completed application. All applications must be received by July 15, 2010.
