Honolulu is served by the Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu and is Hawaii's major airport serving as the entry port for most of Hawaii's visitors. The airport is located 7.5 miles from the Waikiki hotels and takes approximately 20 minutes in a taxi. Traveling to the U.S. All HOSW 2010 participants are responsible for accessing information about and providing the necessary documents required by the State of Hawai'i, the United States and attendees' own governments to attend HOSW 2010.
ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization)
International travellers should check with their respective immigration departments to determine whether they need to complete an ESTA, such as is required by the Australian Immigration Department. Check the website here for more information.
PassportAll international travelers are required to have a passport to enter the United States. When entering the United States, you may be fingerprinted. VisaVisas are not necessary for citizens of Australia, Canada, Finland, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and 20 other countries identified here . All others must apply to U.S. embassies for a visa to enter the United States. Consulates in Hawaii Foreign embassies are located in Washington, D.C.

Weather. Hawai'i temperatures vary little throughout the year, making the climate in Hawai'i quite consistent. The are two main seasons: the season of Kau (dry season) from May to October, and Ho'oilo (rainy season) from November to April. One of the warmer months, September offers an average daytime temperature of 89.4º F (31.9º C). Nighttime temperatures may drop 10º F.
