Guidelines for Poster Presentations

Posters will be displayed for the duration of the Gathering and dedicated time will be allocated on the programme for poster presenters to dialogue with others who want to know about your project or poster and for you to answer any questions.

Poster Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines to prepare a poster presentation for Healing Our Spirit Worldwide -The Seventh Gathering

Your poster needs to stand alone and be self-explanatory and include the following details:

  • Title
  • Name of author/s and affiliation/s
  • Up to 300 word abstract
  • Introduction or context (e.g. What, Who, Where, When, Why)
  • Results, findings or conclusions
  • Images, graphs, tables and text are all welcome

Poster Notes

Present the poster in portrait format, not landscape, so the poster will fit well on the provided poster board.

Use clear headings and images, choose a font that is easy to read from 1 metre away.

Make the information flow easy to follow and understand for someone new to your topic.

Lamination for protection during transport and display is a useful option.

You may alternatively arrange to have your poster printed and laminated, at your cost, in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton. We will advise local printer/s.

A maximum poster size of A0 metric: 841mm x 1189mm or imperial: 33 1/8” x 46 3/4'”.

Fixing for Display

Velcro receptive poster boards will be supplied for the posters to be displayed on. Velcro dots will be provided to fix each poster the boards.
