Alica Argutak

Alicia is a 24 year old Inuk from Umiujaq, a small isolated community of 450. She is an activist in the region of 14 small Inuit communities in Nunavik. She has held important positions such as the council in her community, the Regional council of Kativik Regional Government, as well as taking part of the council of commissioners in the education sector. She is also involved in restructuring an independent body for the youth of Nunavik, which aims to introduce Youth into Politics in the region, as well as to discuss any other youth related topics. Alicia is also the Director of Tursujuq National Park, which is the largest National park in Quebec.
